Stepping out on faith isn’t a concept that’s foreign to me.
When I moved to California back in 2012 with 4 suitcases, 2 carry-ons, and a toddler, I had no idea what the outcome would be.
All I knew was that God had always taken care of me, and I had no reason to doubt that this situation would be any different.
As my birthday nears next week, I find myself preparing for my personal new year. What’s my plan? I have no idea. I’m going to pray, ask for guidance, and follow God’s will for my life.
If you’re in a place where you’re ready to step on on faith, but you’re not sure where to start, you’re not alone.
I’m nervous about not being in control, but I anticipate this feeling will go away soon.
In the meantime, I’m going to meditate on these verses that some amazing women shared with me on Facebook.
Feeling overwhelmed one evening, I asked the question, “What’s your favorite Bible verse about putting all of your trust in God? About faith? About focusing on God’s will rather than your own to do list?”
Verses For Women Who Are Stepping Out On Faith / Who Need To Remember To Trust In God
- Psalms 91:1 (KJV)
He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Thank you, Janeane! I hope it serves as a resource to someone who needs it. Thank you for contributing! @janeanedavis:disqus
One of my favorite passages is Matthew 6:25-34 here are a couple of the scriptures;
25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap , nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
I am making my move back to California after being gone for 7 years and this passage brings peace knowing that God will and has already established provision.
I LOVE this passage! Where are you moving to? I’m in Oakland. Let me know if you’ll be near so we can connect, @authorrhachellenicol:disqus
I’m moving close. I will be in Suisun. We will definitely have to connect.
Brandi,
Thanks for compiling these. I started by blog a few months ago and my first post was “Stepping out on Faith.” This is really a faith journey. All of these verses are inspiring, encouraging and motivating. My favorite verse is Romans 8:28 ” And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” I have to remember this journey is for His purpose.
Thanks again!
