Many thanks to the organizers of Sweet Suite 2014 for the Box Of Awesome!
They call it the “Biggest Night of Play”, and for good reason. The Sweet Suite is an amazing, interactive, personal expo of the year’s best toys that’s organized by the talented Laurie Schacht, Charlene DeLoach, Joey Fortman, and the Big Toy Box Team. The event was hosted this year at the new influencer conference, Blogger Bash NYC, and is known for its ability to get grown ups to revert back to their childhood all in the name of toys! I was able to attend the event last year in Chicago (it’s where I was first introduced to The Beatrix Girls dolls!), and to say that it was a ton of fun is totally an understatement. I hugged super soft teddy bears, gushed over adorable dolls, and was reminded of the importance of play. I wasn’t able to attend the event this year, but was fortunate to be invited to be a Sweet Suite at Home participant.
A little over a week ago, a 19 pound box of toys was delivered to my front door. I could barely wait to get it inside before I dug into it to get a closer look at the goodies it contained. I opened the box, and OH MY GOODNESS, y’all, it was stuffed to capacity with toy after toy! The #BoxOfAwesome nickname it was given was very much deserved. Fortunately, Ayva was out of the house so I had a chance to check things without having to calm her down from having a Toy Attack! There were board games, and art kits, dress up accessories, and cool stuffed toys. The box contained toys that are new, as well as some favorites from when I was a child!
Over the next few weeks leading up to the holiday season, I’ll be sharing individual reviews of different products. Stay tuned for an unboxing video in the next couple of days to get a closer look at some of the awesome brands that supported Sweet Suite 2014, and shared their fabulously fun toys!
