Chocolate Valentine's Day Lollipops - Mama Knows It All

So, y’all know how I practically live in Target, right? Well, for the past couple of weeks, every time we’d go in, I’d see the cutest heart sprinkles in the front section of the store and I had been trying to figure out how to make use of them.

As we were strolling through the aisles, making our normal rounds, we ended up in the baking aisle where a spotlight seemed to be shining on lollipop sticks. A lightbulb went off, and I knew right away what I’d do with those adorable sprinkles.

Chocolate. Lollipops. Yum, right?

I really can’t express how simple these are to make. I was worried about Ayva working with the melted chocolate, but it really wasn’t as messy or dangerous as I had read it could be.

Basically, all I did was melt chocolate chips in the microwave. Then Ayva drizzled the melted chocolate over a chocolate candy (I mean, why not?), and attached a lollipop stick.

We put them in the freezer for about 10 minutes to set, and they were good to go.

We only made 6 lollipops, but it wouldn’t be difficult to make enough for an entire class.

The best part about making these sweet little treats (besides the fact that you can eat the chocolate while you’re making them), is that  you don’t need a lollipop mold.

Let your little one freehand drizzle the melted chocolate to create their own special Valentine’s Day yummy for their friends!
