You all know that I don’t have a big immediate family. There’s just three of us. Two adults, one child. We live in a cozy apartment with two bedrooms. It’s a simple life, not filled with a lot of stuff. Well…except for one thing. Between the three of us, there’s 2 HDTVs, 4 laptops, 3 tablets, 1 desktop, 2 cell phones, and a partridge in a pear tree! Ha! What can I say? My people love screens!
My preferred method to stay connected is by far my laptop, though. I do everything on it from watch movies and televisions shows, to have business meetings and catch up with some of my friends via Google Hangout. I like the laptop much more than my phone because I can (stand by for nerd brag) type nearly 100 words per minute. For me, it’s the easiest way to communicate and to connect with people.
Terrence on the other hand, well, I think he’d give up everything…the big screen television, the tablets, the desktop and the laptop, if he had to choose between those things and his phone! Even when he’s watching television, the sound of alerts from ESPN or CNN ping every few minutes, keeping him updated on the world outside of our home. It’s not at all unusual for him to be watching his favorite show (DVR’ed and binge viewed), while reading a book on his tablet. Of course, when an email comes through on his phone, he has to stop and take a look at that, too. Did I mention that my people love screens?
With the excitement of March Madness going on, plus shows like Scandal and the Real Housewives getting folks pumped up every week, multiple screens makes it possible to extend the experience. Instead of just watching the show, we can tweet, update our Facebook status, and laugh and cry with our friends and family all over the world! Best Buy helps keep you connected to the excitement with the devices and connectivity that make it possible. Learn more about how Best Buy can help you #CatchItAll on their website.
Okay, I really want to know. How do YOU catch it all? Are you a multiscreen person, or do you focus on one thing at a time? Leave a comment, and your twitter handle, so I can catch a show with you!
