I’m totally not reinventing the wheel when it comes to LBL thanks to Poise Microliners as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars. #PoiseWithSAM
Have you ever heard the saying, “Necessity is the mother of invention”? It’s one of my favorites, because it’s so true. Basically, it means that folks will get mighty creative when they are in need of something. For example, when Ayva was a newborn, I had so much milk that those teeny tiny nursing pads did nothing for me. Instead of continuing to ruin shirts, I put on my thinking cap, and a sports bra stuffed with a diaper. Voila! Problem solved. Not everything needs to be reinvented, though. Like Poise Microliners for light bladder leakage (LBL). They exist, so there’s no reason you should be in the bathroom stuffing toilet tissue down your pants to keep your undies from getting messed up. I’m just saying.
What Makes Poise Microliners Different?
What’s the difference between Poise Microliners and regular sanitary napkins? Well, what’s the difference between light bladder leakage and a menstrual cycle? One is a trickle, the other is a flow. Big difference. Poise Microliners are super thin and are made to handle occassional leaking. You can wear them every day because they aren’t bulky or uncomfortable at all. Even though they’re really absorbent, you won’t even notice you’re wearing them. Unlike a big wad of toilet tissue. (Y’all really need to stop doing that.)
Now, I know some folks might balk at the size of the Microliners thinking that surely they’re not big/long/thick enough (Mind out of the gutter, Lady!), but you have to remember that they don’t need to provide full coverage like a sanitary napkin because LBL isn’t as heavy as your period. They do come in regular and long length depending on your preference. The Microliners are the perfect size for the job that they’re supposed to do, and that’s keeping you feeling dry and comfortable.
Put Together A Micro Travel Bag
Since you have so much free time, what with not having to invent a solution to your light bladder leakage problem thanks to Poise, why not take a few minutes to put together a micro travel bag to carry with you whenever you go out. It’s Micro Travel, so I’m talking errands or date night, not going out of town. You know how moms carry diaper bags for their babies? Well, this is kind of like that, but better because it’s for us. You can keep the bag in your purse, or in your car, and make sure to keep it stocked up with your favorite products so you always have what you need just in case something comes up while you’re out.
You can put whatever you think you might need in your Micro Travel bag, but here are a few suggestions:
- Hand lotion
- Poise Microliners
- Sanitizer wipes
- Lip gloss
- Mascara
- Hair ties
- Bobby pins
- Cash
- Sunscreen
- Floss (I don’t think you need to add a toothbrush, but floss might come in handy!)

Great tips! This is a real issue and I love that there is a product that is effective and so discreet.
Discretion is the best part, right, @ritaoneal:disqus? I don’t need everyone to know all my business!
Wow those are super thin! I have been using wads of toilet tissue … Doesn’t help that I have a slightly overactive bladder and caffeine aggravates it … and I drink espresso all the time :-O I’m not sharing one of my life hacks LOL
Haha, @areliscintron:disqus, I shared mine!!! LOL!
Love your little kit that you put together! Those wrapped liners are pretty discreet.
Thank you, @tazimdamji:disqus! They are ALMOST too cute to be liners!
