I’ll be the first person to admit that my home can get messy. It makes sense, though. Ayva and I are both hoarders of all things paper or craft, so quite often things just kind of explode. Even in a messy home, we are conscious of not being a filthy home. Grime, dirt and grease have no place in our paper-filled abode! It’s not easy to keep things clean, but a few suggestions from other wives and moms who also have the challenge of keeping their homes tidy made me adopt the ABC Cleaning Method.

What Is The ABC Cleaning Method?

Well, I’ve always hated having one day that’s devoted to cleaning. When I was growing up, that day was usually Saturdays, and I really could not stand having the entire house disheveled before we put it back together again. My parents would play music and everything, but still, I felt like Saturday was ruined by cleaning. I always vowed that my Saturdays would never be spent doing anything that involves cleaning. That’s why I love the ABC method so much. You keep your home from getting filthy without wasting an entire day. Pair the method with an effective cleaning brand like Zep Commercial® and you are good to go!

Here’s how it works. ABC stands for Always Be Cleaning, and that’s exactly what you do. You should always be looking for ways to tidy up  around the house, no matter what’s going on. For example, while your child is playing in the tub during their nightly (or weekly…let’s keep it real!) bath, use Zep Commercial® to clean the sink and toilet. In the morning, while you’re waiting for your coffee to brew, spray some of the Zep Commercial on the stove to clean up any grease, or on the counters to keep your home germ free pre-cold and flu season. During commercials when you’re watching your favorite show, go to work on the red wine stain on that nonporous surface in your home. Basically, as long as you are intentional about keeping things clean and you have Zep Commercial on hand (because that @%!# will clean anything!) there’s no reason that your house can’t smell and look good at all times.

I actually just used the ABC Method to clean the kitchen today. Every morning, Ayva makes my coffee, and every morning she makes a mess. I mean, she is only 5 after all. I gave her 3 minutes to put her shoes on so that we could go to lunch. Instead of wasting those minutes, I used Zep Commercial to clean up the counter and the coffee machine. As we headed out the door, I had to glance back, take a look at my work, and brush my shoulders off. Yup, I always be cleaning. And my counters always be sparkling!
