there will be stains

There are a few things that are inevitable when you live in a house with a child, or a pet, or any living, breathing being that has the ability to move. First, there will be messes. Second, at some point, you will have to clean up said mess. You can try to hide from the mess if you want, but it won’t matter. I’ve never found a stall technique that made a mess go away. I mean, I’ve gone OUT OF TOWN, came home and the same mess was sitting right there waiting for me. Messes don’t care.

The worse of the messes, the one that frustrates me the most, is stains. They happen so fast, but cleaning them up is a different story. I can’t tell you how many hours I have spent on my hands and knees yelling at the carpet like Lady Macbeth. A lot. It’s been a lot of hours. There’s one spot in our home in particular that I really think has it out for me. It’s a paint stain in Ayva’s room on her carpet. It’s been there for months now, and every time I go into her room, I get the feeling that it’s mocking me.

Unbeknownst to that stain, I have Zep Commercial on my side! I decided to put the Instant Spot Remover Towels‘ catchphrase, “Quickly Removes Tough Stains” to the test. These spot remover towels have a strong dual texture that works on carpets, rugs and upholstery. It can dissolve grease, and clean up food, pet stains, blood, tar and more. All I cared about, though, was could it clean up an extraordinarily old paint stain.

It did the job.

The Instant Spot Remover Towels actually worked!

Now, keep in mind that this stain is several months old, so the paint had really sunk into the fibers of the carpet. I’ve gone over this stain with water and a scrub brush, and have tried other cleaning solutions as well. While there is still a faint sign of the paint, the Instant Spot Remover Towels was able to break the paint down, and I’m sure with a little more elbow grease (#MommyIsTiredWaitUntilDaddyComesHome), it will all come out. I just wish I had them when the spill first happened. That would have saved me a lot of scrubbing and Shakespearian rants.

Do you have stains that are mocking you in your own home, too? You can get the Zep Commercial Instant Spot Remover Towels for $8.97 at Home Depot!
