Over the last few years, self-love journals have helped me to make great strides in the way that I love myself.
Through regular prompts and exercises, I began to embrace my strengths and learned to prioritize myself.
It took a lot of commitment and intention, and it was so worth it!
I’ve always journaled, though not always consistently.
Whenever I’d fall out of practice, life would catch up with me, and I’d fall back into journaling to manage my feelings, explore my thoughts, and work out challenges in a safe way.
The more I write, the better I am at identifying patterns and gaining clarity.
Once I made journaling a regular practice, my compassion and understanding of myself grew, and I started to fall in love with myself again!

I don’t want self-love to stop with me, though. I want my kids to be confident, resilient, and self-assured, too.
The pressures of social media, peer pressure, and schoolwork can be a lot.
Building self-love can be challenging task.
One way I encourage my teenager to cultivate self-love is by encouraging her to journal.
I lead by example by sharing how much the self-reflection benefits me.
My daughter was able to see the foundation of my self-confidence and self-love being fortified by my journaling practice.
She has incorporated writing into her daily routine now, too.
