How do you like your eggs? Me, I like them one of two ways only, either in a cake or in a breakfast casserole. I don’t know what it is, but eggs on their own do nothing for me. Whipped up with some Johnsonville sausage and cheese, though? Oh, it’s on then! With the holiday season being so busy, a simple casserole is also an easy way to save time. When your family is home on vacation, the last place you want to do is have to be in the kitchen all day. This easy Sausage Strata an be put together in minutes, and takes just about 30 minutes to bake. You can’t beat it!
Now, I’m known for my amazing breakfast casseroles, but this one is a little different. In addition to the egg and Johnsonville Fully Cooked Turkey Sausage, I also added some dinner rolls that we had left over from Thanksgiving. You can make a strata with any kind of roll or bread and it’ll give your casserole a different flavor and texture. I like that adding the rolls to the dish actually makes you eat less bread because you don’t need it on the side. Want to spend less time in the kitchen this holiday season? Check out my recipe for a Sausage Strata and give it a try!
