{Saturday Sights} Golden Tee Golfland in Castro Valley

Golfland Castro Valley

It was a beautiful day today. The temperature was nearly 70 and the sun was shining brightly. After a long week of working inside the house, I couldn’t wait to do something outside with Terrence and Ayva. Of course, Ayva and I got up and out early (hello, Panera and Michael’s), but we didn’t want to spend the day in and out of stores shopping like we normally do. We headed home to pick up our Papa Bear, and  to research where we play putt-putt golf in Oakland. We found a place that looked promising, so we jumped in the car and drove about 13 miles from home to play miniature golf at Golden Tee Golfland in Castro Valley.

Golfland had great reviews everywhere we checked online, and children 4 and under play for free. Admission for Terrence and me was $9.99 each, and I treated (well, after striking a deal with Terrence that he would pay for lunch!). The facilities really were well kept, and the environment was very family friendly. A few of the day’s highlights include my hole in one on the first hole (unfortunately, things went down from there), all three of us hitting our balls in water, and the little boy with the family behind us letting us know how he would have hit the ball way better than us after each of our turns. It took us about an hour and a half to get through 18 holes, and we were all sweaty and kind of exhausted at the end of it. The sunshine did wonders for my chi, and my family got to spend some quality time together. I’d say it was a good day!
