This holiday season is going to be a little different than the ones we’ve had over the last few years. In the past, even though I’m not typically a crowd person, I didn’t mind going out during Christmas time to shop and run errands. Folks seem to be in a much better mood than normal, and I love all of the lights and Christmas music that greet me everywhere I go. This year is different because this year, Mama is pregnant. Crowds? Hustle? Bustle? I don’t have the time or the energy for any of that! As always, my favorite neighborhood CVS pharmacy has me covered! Between the ExtraCare rewards program, online ordering, and the CVS pharmacy app, I can be in and out in no time.

The CVS pharmacy App Was So Helpful!

Earlier in my pregnancy, I had a really rough time. I suffered from hyperemesis gravidum which means I was vomiting ALL OF THE TIME. I was super dehydrated, had no energy, and eventually had to take medicine that my doctor prescribed to help me be able to function at even a basic level. I am so thankful to CVS pharmacy during that time. Even on my worse days, I was able to get the relief that I need because of the ease of the CVS pharmacy app.

Here’s how it worked:

• My doctor’s office would send the prescription order over to CVS pharmacy.
• I could check online or on the CVS pharmacy app to see when my prescription would be ready to be picked up.
• While I was inside the app, I could place an order for other things that I needed (like electrolyte water). I would either have it delivered straight to my home, or use CVS Curbside Pickup to get it when I picked up my prescription.
• When my prescription was ready to be picked up, I’d head over to CVS pharmacy, and  go through the drive through (also known as the lifesaver!) to pick my meds. If I had placed an order through Curbside Pickup, I’d pull into a designated parking space and an associate would bring the items I purchased right to my car.

CVS ExtraCare Rewards

You know what else was cool? Since I wasn’t always at my very best when I was placing my order, or picking up my prescription, my mind wasn’t necessarily on trying to save money. I get personalized emails from CVS pharmacy, though, with coupons and information about ExtraBucks that I’ve earned that I could send directly to my card with a simple click. Even if I didn’t remember that I had a coupon, as soon as the associate keyed in my telephone number, they were able to see that I had a discount available and apply it to my purchase.
