You need to get to Disneyland for PIXAR FEST this summer! There’s great new entertainment, food, and merchandise plus a bunch of awesome surprises! PIXAR FEST runs from April 13 – September 3. 

Not that anyone ever needs a reason to go to Disneyland, but  if you do, Pixar Fest is your reason. The new summer festival is a celebration of all things friendship with our favorite Pixar movie pals at the center. My family and I were invited as guests of Disneyland to preview the event, so we went to Anaheim to check it out. It was so much fun!

Before you head down to Disneyland, I want to share a few of the things that you need to look out for. Of course, you can download the Disneyland App for up-to-date event times and information, too.

Delicious and interesting food choices

There are lots of fun food choices for Pixar Fest. From Cheeseburger Pizza to Fried Bologna sandwiches, the cuisine is just as creative as the films we love to watch over and over again. One of the things you definitely want to look for is Redd Rockett’s Pizza Port in Tomorrowland. It’s been turned into Alien Pizza Planet from Pepperonia for Pixar Fest, and has new flavors for you to check out!

Parades and entertainment

The Pixar Play Parade is back and it’s better than ever! There are new floats with characters from Up and Inside / Out, and it’s super duper sweet! Make sure to get to Main Street in Disneyland early to get a good spot along the route.

Other special events to look out for are the Paint the Night parade at Disney California Adventure, and Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular. Both of these events are extraordinarily exciting and a treat for the senses.

Susana Tolbert, Creative Director, Disney Parks Live Entertainment says, “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular is an ode to the heart of Pixar, from Disneyland. This fireworks spectacular is a celebration of the journey of friendship featured in so many of Pixar’s films; when characters first meet an, then set out on adventures, face and overcome adversities and forge everlasting bonds together, forever.”

There are multiple places to watch Together Forever- A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular throughout the park, and I suggest that you stake out your location and get settled at least an hour before the show starts.

We had a lot of fun dancing in the Paradise Gardens area of Disney California Adventure to the music of TripleDent Gum presents The Pixarmonic Orchestra. The seven-piece band was funny, lively, and played all of the best songs from Pixar movies!
