Orange Cranberry Smoothie

Have I ever told y’all how much I despise winter? Well, I do. The cold gets into my bones as soon as the temperature starts to drop, and I’m absolutely miserable until the spring. The one thing that would make winter even worse for me would be getting sick. I’ve been pretty fortunate over the last few years, and I haven’t had any major flu or colds. One of the reasons is that I double up on my Vitamin C during the “dark season”. I’m not typically a fan of orange juice, but in a smoothie, everything tastes better (am I right???). Terrence really likes smoothies, too (he can actually drink one and it’ll substitute for a meal for him), so we make them somewhat frequently. It’s a lot easier now that we have the Hamilton Beach Smoothie Smart Blender (56206), and the Single Serve Blender with Travel Lid (51104T).

Okay, so if you’re a smoothie or juice person, the Hamilton Beach Smoothie Smart Blender is going to make you sooo happy. The reason why it’s so smart is because of the 45 second blending cycle that crushes ice, mixes at low speed, and finishes off with a high speed mix to make your smoothie creamy and, well, smooth. All of this happens automatically! Just touch the Automatic Smoothie button, and in less than a minute, you can be sipping your Orange Cranberry Smoothie (more on that later!). Oh, and I should mention there’s also an automatic button for milkshakes (!!!), you can blend hot liquids for soup, and chopping food for salsa or dips.

Hamilton Beach Smoothie Blender

The other appliance that’s making life easier over here in the Riley home is the Single Serve Blender with Travel Lid. Since I work from home, there are a lot of days that I’m home by myself for hours while Ayva is at school, and Terrence is at work. There is no way I want to pull out a blender (even one as awesome as the Smart Smoothie one) to make one serving of a milkshake healthy smoothie. With the Single Serve Blender, I can blend just enough for me. The best part of the blender is that I’m able to drink from the cup that I blend in! My job keeps me super busy, and sometimes I literally only have 4 or 5 minutes between meetings, so it’s nice to save a few minutes by being able to take the cup with me.

Hamilton Beach Personal Blender

Alright, now back to the Orange Cranberry Smoothie recipe. Y’all, even Terrence said that it was good, and he is a Smoothie Connoisseur. Also, and keep in mind that I’m not a doctor, but I think that this smoothie can help to keep colds away! It’s filled with powerful Vitamin C, health hero yogurt, and a bit of honey to help you to stay sweet! 🙂 I want you to try this recipe and tell me what you think! Oh, and also, enter to win both the Hamilton Beach Smoothie Smart Blender, and the Single Serve Blender with Travel Lid! Good luck, and stay healthy, Folks!
