New Snack Alert: @GreenGiant Veggie Snack Chips

If there is one thing that there is no shortage of in my family, it’s snack attacks. From Ayva on up, all of love to snack! Chips, cookies, carrots…if it’s crisp and crunches even a little bit, we are all over it! Of course, it just so happens that there are a lot more snacks that aren’t good for you that have that have that crunch that we’re always on a quest to get more of.  I just found a new snack, though. Green Giant (Yes, honey! THAT Green Giant!) has come out with new Veggie Snack Chips, and they are so tasty!

Green Giant Veggie Snack Chips

Alright, so here’s the deal with these new Green Giant Veggie Snack Chips. There is a Multigrain Sweet Potato with Sea Salt flavor. I’m a Southern girl, so the sweet potato totally speaks to me. The sea salt adds just the right amount of saltiness to make these chips my new go to whenever I’m craving crunch. Apparently my family agrees. I came in the other day prepared to hang out in front of the television with a bowl of chips, and I found that they had eaten not one, but two entire bags of the Green Giant Veggie Snack Chips!!! Yes, they even ate the Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips in Zesty Cheddar! I only got to taste a handful of those! I guess they were just that good. I can’t be too angry, though, because at least I know that there’s 40% less fat than regular potato chips, and 17 grams of whole grain in each bag. Not bad for a snack chip, huh?

Are you surprised that the Green Giant had these veggie chips up his sleeve? Well, check out Jolly Green Giant TV to discover some folks with other surprise talents, and share your own while you’re there!

I love veggie chips. Food Should Taste Good and Terrachips are awesome. But I have to say these chips are terrible for you.. Look at the ingredients. The list is crazy long for the zesty cheddar variety. Sunflower oil comes up before red and green peppers. Yes, they taste good but IMO not much healthier than plain Doritoes (which they taste like) or Sun Chips. I can't believe their marketing campaign.. totally unhealthy.

Thank you so much for commenting, Anita! I like Terrachips but haven't tried Food Should Taste Good. I'll check them out. For our family, the Green Giant chips are a nice treat every once in awhile. I can understand your concern about them, and appreciate you respectfully sharing your opinion. Thank you!
