A Dress of A Different Color

I like pink. It’s one of my favorite colors. However, after being the mom for the last 2 years of a little girl who insists that she is a princess, my love of pink is fading. Rapidly. We’re all pink all the time over here, and I just want to Ayva to give some other colors a chance. For Mommy’s sake.

Spring is coming up, and we have a ton of special events and outings planned, so I went online last week to Hartstrings to see what options they had for cute, non-pink, dresses. One of the first things I saw when I signed on was a collection called “Spring Blues“, so I knew I was in the right place! Ayva sat on my lap while I was browsing online, and was attracted to the “Dress to Impress” collection right away because of the bright colors and flowers. I pointed out a sweet blue and green tropical print dress, and she agreed (yes, I had to get my 2 year old to agree) that she would wear it. I purchased the dress and a cardigan that was on sale just in time to take advantage of free shipping and a 20% discount for President’s Day.

The dress and cardigan came in the mail today, and y’all, I think I might have broken Ayva’s pink habit! She loved the dress, and the colors look so beautiful with her skin tone and eye color, I think we’re going to have to check these hues out more often! See Ayva tell you all about her dress in the video below, and make sure you follow Hartstrings on Facebook and Twitter to stay informed about special sales!
