MLK Find-A-Word

Want an MLK Find-A-Word printable for your kids to learn new vocabulary words?

MLK Day will be here before we know it, and if you’re planning lessons to teach your children or students about the civil right leader, you are not alone!

Learning about Dr. King, for many children, is the foundation for their education about the Civil Rights Movement and Black History in America.

It’s also a way for the adults in the room to become inspired to dig deeper into diversity.

Now, I know Find-A-Word sheets aren’t necessarily the most engaging activities, but I like that it’s a good way to introduce children to important vocabulary in a way that’s low-key and not stressful at all.

I made a couple of word search printables that you can use with your kids.

MLK Find-A-Word

One is a very simple intro to word searches for preschoolers that was created just to give them the experience of learning how to solve these puzzles while learning more about Dr. King.

The other Find-A-Word is for older kids who are up for a little bit of a challenge when it comes to finding words and learning new definitions.

Just click the picture below to download a set of MLK printables for free.

If the clicking doesn’t work, try this link to get your MLK Find-A-Word and other worksheets.

There are so many other ways to teach kids about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The printables in this collection will give you a place to start conversations about the great Civil Rights leader with little kids.

Make sure you also check out this list of books about MLK for kids, too!
