If there’s one thing y’all know about me, you know that I keep it real. My amazing husband. My perfect child. My spotless home. It’s all real, it’s all perfect, it’s all the time.

Well, maybe not all the time.

Actually, it’s probably more like a small percentage of the time.

What can I say? As Ayva has gotten older, and our life has gotten busier, I’ve learned to embrace the mess.  In fact, this is what Ayva’s room looks like right now:

Here’s the thing. I could make her clean it up right now, or I give her a few more minutes to wallow in filth enjoy her mess. You know what? These are the fun years. The messes that she makes (and the pictures that I’m able to capture) are memories for us. I’ll look back on nights like these, nights when every single thing is out of the toy box, and all I’ll remember is this:
