Pink is typically the color that reigns supreme in our household. I don’t mind, really. Ayva is a preschooler with a sense of style, so I pretty much just go with the flow. I know if it’s pink, she’ll love it. With Memorial Day just around the corner, though, I’m going to push her to expand her fashion horizons a bit and give red, white and blue a try. Not only will it give her a chance to show her patriotism, but, oh my goodness, how cute, right???
Looking to expand my the colors in my preschooler’s closet has been no simple feat. Stores typically have a lot of pinks, purples, and yellows, but if you want red or blue, you have to look in the boy’s section. No wonder Ayva thinks those are the only colors she can wear! I had a lot more success online, and now I’m convinced that I need to do all of Ayva’s clothes shopping online. Great retailers like Tea Collection, Hanna Anderson, and PiperLime offer unique options for creative kids.
If red, white and blue is out of your typical color comfort zone, just give it a try! Don’t be afraid to mix and match patterns. Stars and stripes work for our beloved flag, so why not on your darling little girl?
Does your preschooler have a favorite color? Would they wear red, white and blue?
Orange is a great color, too! I love to see children with outfits that feature the flag. So adorable!
Oh, your girls would be too cute in red, white and blue!
