Memories. They’re the one thing that we can give our children that will never be lost. Toys can be broken, electronics get outdated and money gets spent. Memories, on the other hand, stay with a person forever. My number one goal in motherhood has been to be intentional about creating moments with Ayva that she won’t forget. From simple things like walks and trips to the library, to bigger adventures like traveling and going to plays or the circus, all of it is banked in her heart and mind and helps to shape her into a young woman who is confident because she knows she’s loved.
I’m not the most organized person. I love to do things spontaneously, and rarely make plans. I prefer to go with the flow and go wherever the Universe sends me, whenever it sends me. It’s worked out so far when it comes to doing fun activities with Ayva, and last week was no different when we went to see Disney’s The Lion King in San Jose. I hopped on the easy to use Ticketmaster app for Android a few days before the show. From there I was able to select seats (which were verified so we were sure to get the seats we selected), then purchase our tickets and a stuffed Simba toy for Ayva. Before I knew it, I was surprising my musical loving girl with what she called, “the best show ever!”
There were a lot of other events we could have attended. The Ticketmaster Minimaster page makes it easy to discover family friendly events. They showcase concerts, sporting events, comedy shows, and all sorts of other fun activities. There were a lot of deals to choose from, too. There were 2 For 1 Tickets, Me+3 4-Pack Tickets, $40 Below Tickets, and more. Once I saw that The Lion King was playing near us, though, I knew that was going to be our choice.
It was a good choice.
We had an amazing time, and I feel good knowing that this is another memory that will stay with my baby girl for the rest of her life. Now, I just have to go back on Ticketmaster and find a way to top this!
