I’m sharing tips on last minute holiday preparations as part of a sponsored campaign with CVS/pharmacy.
I have the type of family where, if they stop by my house and I don’t have any food at all, they’re going to talk about me. That’s just how my people roll. But really, during the holiday season, we all should know better. Chances are, people are going to be stopping by when their in the neighborhood because the holidays are all about connecting and spending time with people that we love and care about. If you don’t keep snacks around for guests any other time of the year, you definitely want to have them in stock in December! Now, I don’t mean to suggest that you have to be prepared with a 4-course meal for your visitors, but just having a few things on hand can help you look like the hostess with the mostess without any stress.
CVS/pharmacy is a one-stop shop for all things snacks, and I don’t mean just your everyday chips and dip. They have delicious savory and sweet treats that’ll have your guests complimenting your hospitality long after they’ve gone home. The Gold Emblem Select line has yummy selections like Sea Salt Caramels, Mint Cookie Bites, and Sea Salt Caramel Shortbread that just taste like Christmas, y’all! Round those out with Shelled Pistachios, Trail Mix and Cheese Snack Crackers, and your guests can graze and gab, and you can sit back and join them.
Once you have your snacks, just pull out any serving containers you have. They don’t have to match. They don’t have to be expensive. They just need to be clean and be able to hold food. Seriously, y’all. I don’t want anyone stressing about the holidays, even if you did wait to the last minute to get prepared! Finally, make sure you have something for your guests to drink. Now, in the Riley House, we pretty much always have sparkling wine, whiskey, and water on deck. Keep a few tea bags and coffee in the house to offer to pop up guests, and then relax and remember that they came to visit you, they want to spend time with you, so give them the quality time and focus they deserve.
