Remember a few months ago when I shared information about Affordable Healthcare? I hope that you all were able to get registered before the deadline. If you weren’t, no worries, because open enrollment will begin again in November. Until then, however, did you know that certain qualifying life events make you eligible to apply throughout the year! Got married? Had a baby? Congratulations, you’re eligible to enroll today!

Here’s more information from Get Covered America on eligibility and resources for enrollment:

Am I eligible to enroll now?

Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) remain available to everyone eligible throughout the year. People can enroll in a Marketplace plan if they’ve had a “qualifying life event” — meaning they’ve gotten married, had a baby, adopted a child, moved residences outside their coverage area, gained citizenship, left incarceration, or lost their health coverage. In most cases, once such an event occurs, a person has a 60-day window to get coverage.
