In the world of blogging, it can be tough sometimes to find your authentic voice. There are so many bloggers, and so many perspectives, that it’s just hard trying to find a place to fit in. If you’re like me, you’ve questioned which “angle” to come from, what your niche is going to be. It’s crazy how much time is spent trying to figure out which part of ourselves and our world that we want to share.
These are some of the reasons that I absolutely love blogging conferences that celebrate diversity. It’s nice to come together with other bloggers who have unique life perspectives and just enjoy being in their own skin. I have heard that Hispanicize, the blogging conference…no the event for Latino trendsetters is one of the best gatherings of content creators out there, and in just a few weeks…I get to go!
This year has been all about transitioning for me. Changing careers, moving one part of the country to another, going from being a single mom to not being a single mom…the way I saw things last year is TOTALLY different from how I see them this year. I can’t wait to discover new ways to manage my new perspective in the digital world! Hispanicize has tracks for bloggers, journalists, folks working in marketing and PR, and social media. There are even sessions for those in the music and film industry! Didn’t I tell you Hispanicize is a full-fledged event?
I’m really looking forward to heading to Miami, FL from April 9th – 13th for Hispanicize with Collective Bias. I’m extra pumped because I get to take some of you with me! That’s not a typo. I totally mean some. I’m giving away 4 conference passes to bloggers to attend Hispanicize! Entering is easy. Just leave a comment letting me know why you want to attend Hispanicize ’13. The contest will close at 11:59 PM on Monday, March 25th. Winners will be chosen using random.org, and contacted by Tuesday. Buena suerte!
