Summer is here, y’all! I love summer for a variety of reasons, but number one has to be a relaxed schedule and quality time with my baby girl. Ayva is going to camp for a few weeks, but HONEY, camp is expensive! There are going to be a few weeks when she’s chilling with Mama, but I’m not worried. In between meetings (work at home Mom, you know!), I’ve found quite a few free or low cost activities to keep Ayva engaged while she has fun. Take a look at what I found, and feel free to add your own tips to the list!
Kids Bowl Free – Children who register for Kids Bowl Free get 2 free games of bowling every day in the summer. The program also offers an opportunity to purchase an extremely low cost family plan so that you can bowl right along with your kiddo.
Kids Skate Free – Kids ages 10 and younger can get free passes to skate this summer! Roller skating is a lot of fun, and bonus? It tires kids out quickly!
Passport To Imagination at Michaels – $2 for 2 hours? If it seems too good to be true…it’s not! Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday you can take your little one to Michael’s to craft with their Passport to Imagination program. Ayva participated a few times last summer, and she’s still talking about it.
Junior Chef Classes at Williams Sonoma– I want to do this one! Take your kids to Williams Sonoma to learn how to make mac & cheese or pocket pies! Check with your local store for times.
Apple Camp – Ayva is not quite old enough for this camp, but it’s way too cool not to add. Kids ages 8 – 12 get to participate in free 3 day workshops where they either get to make a movie or an interactive book. Slots fill up quickly, so hurry and sign up to be notified when classes open up!
Summer Movie Express at Regal Theatre – When is the last time you were able to go to the movies for $1??? Well, you can do it all summer long at Regal Theatre. All of your little one’s favorites are on the list!
Microsoft Camp – This is another one that Ayva is too young for, but when she’s old enough, we’re on it! Your child can learn how to code, and other cool stuff at free YouthSpark Summer Camp at Microsoft retail stores.
So, there you have it, a few activities to keep your kiddos busy and learning and making amazing memories! I’ll add to the list as I learn of more fun stuff!
