As a fashionista who loves a good deal, you’d think I’d be all over coupons. I’m not. I always have good saving intentions. Coupons come in the mail, or I see them in the paper. I cut them out nice and neat, stack them up, and then promptly leave them at home each and every single time I walk out of the house to go shopping! The one thing I never forget, though, is my cell phone. Target gets it (as they usually do), so they created the Cartwheel app for folks like me who love to save money but can’t be bothered with a bunch of coupons.
How To Use The Cartwheel App
The Cartwheel app is super simple to use. You can download it on your phone, sign in with your email, or through Facebook. I have an Android, and I downloaded the app while I was in the store. It took less than a minute, and I was able to start saving right away. Save on what, you’re wondering? You can get discounts on everything from food to shoes to appliances using the Cartwheel app. The best part for me, because I’m easily influenced by my peers (at least I’m honest about it!) I can see what my friends are adding to their lists and it helps me to
remember decide what I need to purchase. For instance, last week, I noticed my Aunt Vanessa’s activity. She has 4 daughters, and added a 25% off girls shoes onto her list. When I logged on to the Cartwheel app and saw that, I was reminded that Ayva could use a new pair of sandals, and was able to snag a pair on the last day of the discount, for only $14!
When you’re all finished shopping, you just take your phone up to the register and the cashier will scan a personalized coupon that encompasses all of your deals. I mean, seriously, how much easier that that does it get? Another one of the cool features is that the Cartwheel app keeps a running total of your overall savings, which is really good for someone who spend all of their
money time at Target. See, Honey! I’m saving money!
