I wasn’t a big football fan until I got married. My husband and his family love the game, so I soon learned to appreciate sitting in front of a big screen television on Sunday nights watching the game and eating good food. Not only do I participate in the festivities, but I actually look forward to chilling out on the couch, watching my team win.
Because, you know, my team always wins. Ha!
If I had to be honest, though, the thing that draws me to football the most isn’t watching the players run up and down the field. It’s the quality time I get to spend with my family. From the joking around and the laughter to the delicious finger food, a glance around the room on football Sundays make it easy to remember what’s important in life, good family and good food!
I lucked out and was able to marry into a great family, and I have to say, in addition to football, they’ve introduced me to the power of a good home tailgate party. My in-laws sure know how to throw a party! Since joining their “team”, I’ve been stepping my football food game up, too, and trying to impress them with different recipes. Fortunately, the crew over at Farm Rich are sharing yummy Game Day Snack Hacks on their site all season long. Take a look at www.farmrich.com/gameday for all of the awesome game day delights!
Here’s this week’s recipe:
