If you’re looking for an MLK activity for kids that will keep them engaged, check out this Dr. King and Me booklet!

For many young children, learning about Dr. King in their preschool or kindergarten class on MLK day will be their first introduction to American history and learning about Civil Rights.

The best way to help early learners relate to Dr. King is to teach them that he was once a little kid just like they are.

MLK Find-A-Word

This simple Dr. King & Me booklet will help children get to know a little more about Dr. King, while sharing more about themselves.

Print this book out, fold into quarters, and have your young student write or draw pictures that relate to each fact about Dr. King.

You could also print the booklet out on colored paper and encourage your child to decorate the cover with stickers and other craft material.
