In a few short weeks, we’ll be celebrating Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. For many young children, learning about Dr. King in their preschool or kindergarten class will be their first introduction to American history and learning about Civil Rights. The best way to help early learners relate to Dr. King, is to teach them that he was once a little kid, just like them!
This simple Dr. King & Me book will help children get to know a little more about Dr. King, while sharing more about themselves. Print this book out, fold into quarters, and have your young student write or draw pictures that relate to each fact about Dr. King. You can print the booklet out on colored paper and encourage your child to decorate the cover.
