This year is going to be Terrence’s first Father’s Day, and I have to say, I’m a little nervous about what to get him. It’s not because he’s hard to please, he isn’t at all. It’s just that he’s so stylish, and he always seems to have a leg up on me when it comes to finding cool, unique presents.
I recently found Sweet Relish after seeing a tweet about how great they were. I followed them, checked them out, and really liked what I saw. Sweet Relish is an interactive site that allows you to purchase (or peruse!) products from lots of amazing brands. If you see something that you like, you can add it to a list, or learn more about it directly from the brand’s website. It’s a neat way to learn of newer brands, and I can really appreciate that there are items from a few Etsy shops featured!
Okay, so back to Father’s Day. I really don’t know WHERE to start. I mean, do I get him a tie? Something electronic? A nice bag? Well, Sweet Relish has the perfect answer for someone like me who is kind of flailing. The Discover Button allows you to click through and, yes, discover, all kinds of interesting items! As you click through, you see the price of the products, and get to see the brand’s website filled with additional merchandise. The Discover Button lets you “window shop” without getting overwhelmed because you’re only seeing one brand at a time, as opposed to a page full of different products. Don’t worry, Sweet Relish has that, too, for those of you who are more savvy shoppers than me, but I enjoy a slower shopping experience!
Okay, here’s an example, check out this awesome ColsenKeane Handmade Gentleman’s Toolbox. I can assure you that I NEVER would have picked out a toolbox for Terrence, but this one is so absolutely beautiful, that it made my list! I was even able to add a note to remind me what I like about the item, and there was the option to share to Facebook if you’re an interactive type of shopper (I am!).
Other brands that caused my debit card to perk up include a lovely walnut pivot (and everything else!) from Koostik, AVIIQ’s modern looking computer support devices, and Proof eyewear collection with styles that are right up Terrence’s alley. There are products in all price ranges, so as you click and discover, I’m sure you’ll be able to find something that you like that’s in your budget.
Alright, so you guys, take a look at Sweet Relish and let me know what you think. It’s free to sign up, and it’s easy if you use your Facebook account. I’d suggest that you create a shopping list with all of the products that you discover that you love, and get cool gift ideas sent to your inbox. Make sure you let me know what you find and absolutely MUST have on Sweet Relish!
