Design An Abstract Snack Bag

I’m super excited to be partnering with Gold Emblem Abound at CVS/pharmacy as one of the #CVSTrailMakers this year!

Can you believe that school is almost over? It really seems like Ayva just started kindergarten, and here it is already about to end! It’s crazy. I have to admit, I’m looking forward to having more time with my buddy. She’s not going to be little forever, and as she gets older, I imagine she’ll want to spend more time with her friends and less time with her poor old mama. I need to make our summers together count for as long as they last! (Why yes, I am very melodramatic. Ha!) Memorial Day is going to kick off our amazing summer, and we got prepped by designing a cute abstract bag that we can carry when we head off to see fireworks.  It’s perfect for carrying essentials like snacks and a camera, and it’s adorable, too!

The bag is so easy to design. You just need any old tote, and fabric paint. Let your little designer know that the inspiration is Memorial Day, or red, white and blue, or fireworks, or whatever, and let them go to town. It’s more fun if the design is abstract because it relieves the pressure of having to make it perfect. Just have fun with it!

Now, as for what goes inside the bag, that’s up to you, but Ayva and I carry snacks wherever we go. I’m serious. We are literally the snackiest people you will ever meet. We want to keep our tote light since we’ll be carrying it as we walk, so we don’t need a bunch of heavy containers or packaging. That’s why I love that many of our favorite goodies from CVS’ Gold Emblem Abound line come in small individual packages. They’re easy to carry and we love being able to take a variety of options with us when we go out! Some our favorite snack packs include the Cranberry Almond Rice Pop Clusters and the Blueberry Almond Rice Pop Clusters.

Okay, about these Rice Pop Clusters…they are so yummy! They’re crunchy, sweet, and gluten free! Like all Gold Emblem Abound products, there are no artificial flavors or preservatives. I like that they aren’t overwhelmingly sweet like so many snacks tend to be nowadays. They don’t smack you over the head with sugar. When it’s hot outside and you’re walking, the last thing you need is to be overloaded with a ton of sugar. Ayva loved crunching the Rice Pop Clusters, and asked that next time I get the big bag so she could have them at home, too.

What are you and your family doing this summer? Is Memorial Day your kickoff, too? Please let me know if you and your little one try out the Rice Pop Clusters or design a bag!

What a cute way to kick off summer the right way. I love how the snack bag turned out and those Rice Pop Clusters look like a must try. I just have to say your daughter exudes so much joy when she smiles, it's contagious ;)

I love that the Rice Pop Clusters are gluten-free! I'll have to see if they have any that are nut free as well. Love the abstract tote.
