Get Star Wars movie posters from specially marked boxes of General Mills cereal! This is a sponsored story.
Star Wars. You either really love it, or you really hate it. There doesn’t seem to be any in between when it comes to the epic movies. Even if you aren’t a huge Star Wars fan, you have to admit that its impact on pop culture is phenomenal. There is Star Wars reference that has been left untouched, be it by fashion, parodies, music and even food! Star Wars themed parties are nothing new to social folks everywhere, but with Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens coming out in a few months, we’re starting to see even more of them.
Guess what? Even I have a Star Wars themed recipe to share! I was inspired by free classic Star Wars posters that are available inside of specially marked General Mills cereal boxes. There are 6 posters in all featuring images from “The Phantom Menace”, “Attack Of the Clones”, “Return Of The Jedi” and more! As much as I’m a fan of all things good and positive (hey, Luke, hey), I have to admit that the dark side intrigues me a bit, too. That’s where my inspiration for this Cookie Crisp Dark Side Milkshake comes from. So decadent, it’s naughty but it’s still so good!
To make the milkshake, first crush 1/2 cup of Cookie Crisp cereal. Then blend 1 cup of vanilla ice cream with 1/4 cup of fat free milk. Add the crushed cereal and blend more. Then, to make it dark, add 4 tablespoons of chocolate syrup. You may need to add more or less milk depending on how thick you want your milkshake to be. Garnish with Cookie Crisps!
You have until December to rewatch all of the Star Wars movies in order to get ready for Episode VII. Head to the market for movie watching snacks and remember to get your movie poster from General Mills for a limited time only!
