Our Sweet’N Low Lemon Drop was shaken up as part of a sponsored post for Socialstars #SweetNLowStars
My husband and I are the king and queen of the after work wind down. Every night, at 7 PM PST, we put our child to bed, and the chilling commences. Some evenings we fire up the DVR and catch up on our favorite shows. Other evenings, we cuddle up on the couch reading, and chatting with each other while turning (swiping!) pages. Regardless of what we do, we always have a little libation like a glass of wine or a cocktail. What can I say? It takes our chill to a whole ‘nother level!
Terrence’s signature drink is the Lemon Drop. He has perfected his recipe so that it turns out the exact same way every single time. Perfect. He doesn’t do many sweets, so Sweet’N Low adds the sweetness that I love without the sugar that he works hard to avoid. The Lemon Drop is our go-to chill cocktail because we always have the ingredients on hand, and it’s delicious enough that we can skip dessert.
Whether you’re trying to avoid the calories of sugar, or not, Sweet’N Low is really yummy in cocktails. I mean, it’s a sweet cocktail. How can you go wrong? If you want to try out Terrence’s no-fail Lemon Drop recipe, have at it below! Just let me know what you think afterwards! Sweet’N Low Lemon Drop
INGREDIENTS:
-3 oz. vodka
-1 oz. triple sec
-3/4 oz. lemon juice
-1 packet or 1 tsp. of Sweet’N Low (plus more for the rim)
-ice cubes
-lemon for garnishing
DIRECTIONS:
Fill up a cocktail shaker 1/2 way with ice cubes. Add the vodka, triple sec, lemon juice, and Sweet’N Low. Shake the drink for about 30 seconds and pour into a glass. Garnish with lemon and enjoy the chill!
FOR THE RIM:
If you like a sweet rim, empty 4 – 6 packets of Sweet’N Low on a small plate. Rub lemon juice around the rim of your glass. Place the rim in the Sweet’N Low and swirl until the rim is covered. Do this, obviously, before you pour the drink!
