One of the unexpected benefits of moving to Northern California has been the fantastic fellowship that I’ve found with new friends and family. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten together with folks more than since we moved here. The mild weather, and chill energy of the region lends itself to lots of get togethers. Terrence, Ayva and I are invited to hang out with folks just about every weekend. A few weeks ago, thanks to Cadbury Ice Cream Bars and MomSelect, we hosted our own little party, a “High Tea” complete with ice cream and fascinators!
East Bay summers are notorious for being foggy, but there are a few days in the summer that are sunny and clear. Fortunately, the day that we chose for our party was one of those days. Immediately after church, our friends and their little ones headed over to my in-laws house for an afternoon of ice cream and fun in the backyard. Costumed in big hats and chic fascinators, the kids played games while the adults pretended to be fancy. Everyone had a ball!
The Cadbury Ice Cream bars were definitely a hit with the adults. With flavors like Caramello, Royal Dark, and English Toffee, that really wasn’t a surprise to me. I have to admit, Ayva and I tore into the Vanilla Chocolate bars before the party, and totally declared those our personal favorites. The best part about the ice cream bars? They’re totally easy. There are no bowls needed, no spoons, nothing. Just pull the wrapper off and you’re good to go!
The smiles on the faces of our guests let us know that our inaugural get together was a success. But, why wouldn’t it be? When you partner great ice cream with great friends, there’s no way things could go wrong!
Disclosure: This party was sponsored by MomSelect and Cadbury’s. All opinions are my own.
I agree with your final paragraph – nothing can go wrong when you get together good icecream and good friends!
Ahh! Everybody looks so happy. You can’t go wrong with ice cream and family. Looks like you all really enjoyed one another and had a beautiful day. And Avya’s hair is super cute.
I love ice cream bars! LIke you said there’s no preparation, no utensils needed, just pull the wrapper off and you’re good to go. The english toffee flavor sounds delicious. How cute high tea … sounds like a lovely Sunday afternoon!
