Blogging for me, has been quite the gift. I have really found a writing genre that I can connect to. I have met amazing people both in the blogosphere, and in real life. It’s allowed me to open conversations about issues that are important to me with family and friends, and, most of all, it’s given me a release for some of the thoughts (positive and negative) that comes with being a single mom, and that sometimes overwhelm me.
I started doing some contemplation about my blog after Bloggy Boot Camp a few weeks ago…what direction I want it to go, what the purpose of the blog is, how much I want to share. I realize that people read blogs because they are looking for something that they might have in common with others, they want to find answers to things they might have questions about, maybe they want to find a place to belong. My hope is that this blog, Mama Knows It All, can be a place that women…not just single women, not just Mamas, but all women, will find something that they can relate to, and it is for that reason, that I’ve decided to share more.
Being a Mom…being a woman, there are good days and there are bad days. All I know, though, is that each day that I’m alive, whether there’s sunshine or rain, I am blessed. I hope that sharing more of my life, the ups and the downs, will encourage someone else to continue to press forward despite challenges, and to appreciate the life (and lessons) that God has chosen for them.
Thank you all for reading, and I appreciate you for traveling on this journey with me!
