|Encouragement for the week: Take a risk…just go!|
Well, we finally did it. Ayva and I got on a plane and made the move to Northern California. I have a lot to say about the move, a lot to say about what we’ve experienced and done so far (you won’t believe how much we did in a few short days), but I’ll save that for another time. Right now, I just want to encourage you all to take risks. Life is so short, y’all, and we can’t predict anything in it, good or bad. Why not put yourself out there, every once in awhile, and see what happens? Like I said, more on the move later, but if you can’t wait to get a sneak peek into our new life, take a look at our trip to the Farmer’s Market yesterday!

- Shopping is always fun, but it’s even more special when you can help others while doing it. Jessica from Found the Marbles shows us beautiful scarves made by women in Ethiopia who are learning how to create their own businesses in order to sustain themselves through the non-profit, Connected in Hope. Take a look at the colorful handwoven scarves, and enter to win one on Jessica’s blog.
- Christine from The Aums has discovered that, surprise, surprise, she can no longer relate to “Little House on the Prairie”. One of the reasons? Christine recognizes how ridiculous it’d be to think a woman could actually wear a dress that she wore BEFORe she popped out 4 kids! Check out the hilarious post, 5 Reasons I Can No Longer Relate to Little House On The Prairie over at The Aums.
- Even though I’m not in Philly anymore, I can’t help but to be excited that there’s a new blog that shares all of the happenings around town for Philly families! Philly Kids Thing will send you a free weekly newsletter that lets you know everything that’s going on in Philadelphia and surrounding areas. If you’re like me, and searching for info on things to do isn’t your thing, head over to Philly Kids Thing and sign up to be informed!
