As the oldest of all of my siblings, it’s my job to take care of them and teach them things. This weekend, my little sister Ta-Ta came to visit us. Since I hadn’t seen her in nearly a year, I had a lot to catch up on. First, I took her to my favorite Oakland shopping spots and restaurants. Then we went up to Tahoe so I could show her how Big Sis does vacation days. Finally, Ayva and I both introduced her to some of the televisions shows that we like to watch together while eating some of our favorite snacks. It’s true, I’m a Gold Emblem Abound snack junkie, and now, Little Sister is, too!
We grew up in a family that loved to snack. Our cabinets were always stocked with chips, pretzels and cookies. I don’t think my dad ever met a snack that he wouldn’t try at least once. Times have changed, though, and we know a lot more about how too many snacks can have a negative effect on our health. Being sisters and sharing the same genes, Ta-Ta and I have similar concerns regarding our health. We know that we can’t eat tons of salty, fatty snacks and keep our cute figures and clear skin (#goodgenes). Fortunately, the Gold Emblem Abound snack line at CVS/pharmacy gives us a lot of delicious options to help us get our crunch on without all of the bad stuff.
I really wasn’t planning to open up ALL my snacks, but the Jeter girls (yup, all 3 of us) seem to have no self control when it comes to these goodies. My favorite is the Gold Emblem Abound Heavenly Light Popcorn. Ayva loves the Sweet Potato Chips, and Ta couldn’t get enough of the Veggie Chips. I literally had to ask them to STOP SNACKING in order to get pictures! None of these snacks have artificial preservatives or flavors, but they do taste DELICIOUS. I still haven’t met a snack that I didn’t love in this entire line!
Some things never change when it comes to spending time with family. The laughter, the stories of things we used to do back in the day, and even the Big Sister / Little Sister dynamic. It’s okay if some things evolve, though, just like our snack habits. There were several times this week when I asked Ta for her opinion on something, or when she offered advice on a situation. We’re growing and changing, but one thing remains the same, we’ll always love each other.

I am being sponsored by CVS/pharmacy for my Trail Makers posts and activities, but all opinions expressed are my own, and all product claims or program details shared should be verified at CVS.com or with the appropriate manufacturers.
