It’s not even spring, and already, my calendar is booked solid for the next 6 months. From conferences to wedding dress fittings, and everything in between, I’m definitely due for a fashion refresher. My boss/friend, Courtney, recently introduced me to Ella Moss. Upscale, casual, bright, and airy, Ella Moss clothes are everything an Urban Chic Natural Mama like myself is looking for. I will say, the prices aren’t going to please frugalistas, but as someone who works in a professional creative field, it’s important for me to have a few high-end pieces to pull my wardrobe together.
Looking online at the Ella Moss website, I oohed and aahed through pages of flowy maxi dresses, and breezy tops. Everything had a signature slouch that was comfy looking but put together at the same time. Totally not easy to do, but Ella Moss absolutely pulls it off. They’re not afraid of texture or print, either, and I adored all of the stripes, eyelet, and floral patterns that I saw. I knew that it was going to be hard to choose online, so I went to Nordstrom to try some pieces on.
When I got to Nordstrom, I headed right over to a Salesperson to ask for assistance finding some Ella Moss pieces. Nordstrom has the most amazing customer service, so I knew I’d be in good hands. There weren’t many choices on the floor (just one top that was not my size), but my Super Salesperson looked in the back, found a ton of tops and started a dressing room for me. Awesome, right? Check out pictures from my shopping trip to see some of the items that she pulled for me.
One of the trends that seems to be hot for the spring is black and white coupled with color. It’s a great way to ease your way into bright colors if you aren’t used to wearing them, and looks super chic and sophisticated. As I tried on top after top, knowing that I was only going to buy one, I remembered that fashion fact, and decided to go with a slouchy shirt that I knew would look great with the colored jeans that are really popular right now.
Have you ever worn Ella Moss clothing? What trends are you trying out this year?
